Lafarge Plasterboard, Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire

A £35 million construction project covering a 7.4 hectare brownfield site, with a internal floor space of 29,800 square metres. This factory has an annual production capacity of 25 million square metres of plasterboard. Following our successful installation of the HV infrastructure, the client utilized our services again as part of their plant installation.

We provided the containment and process wiring for this important production facility as well as the process wiring and plc controls for the gypsum storage building. Our installation required over 35,000 metres of cable with over 3,000 cable terminations. In addition, Pitts Wilson Electrical installed all controls and power wiring to the Gypsum conveyor system which is linked to the train unloading terminal.
